We are eight Church of England churches serving a group of villages stretching ten miles across Otmoor from Woodeaton, close to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital, to Ambrosden, a rapidly growing village near Bicester.
Currently the benefice has a vacancy (or interregnum) which means there is no Rector – and, as it happens, no official part time clergy either. Worship is being provided principally by the Revd Lisa Holmes, who lives in Ambrosden, and the Revd Canon Brian Mountford who lives in Islip. They are assisted occasionally by Bishop June Osborne (Noke) and the Revd David Wippell (Islip).
All our churches are keen to be welcoming and helpful to all, both those who are long-standing church members and those who are in search of God or trying to find a spiritual dimension to their life.
